DENNIS NYAGA: A VOICE OF HOPE AND DETERMINATION

This week, we’re sharing the story of Dennis Nyaga — a remarkable young man, 24 years old, from Kilifi County. His strength and positive attitude are an inspiration to many.

Dennis grew up in a family of six children. His mother raised them mostly on her own and worked very hard to give her children a better future. Life wasn’t easy. During high school, Dennis had to stop going to school for two years because there was no money for tuition. But he never gave up.

In 2023, he finally completed high school with excellent grades. He was accepted to Kibabii University, where he’s now in his second year studying Journalism and Mass Communication.

Thanks to support from the Learn Foundation, we were able to cover his university fees. Without this help, Dennis wouldn’t have been able to continue his studies.

But Dennis is not just taking — he’s also giving back. During school holidays, he volunteers at the Learn Center, where he helps with the DEAL program (Digital Empowerment for All Learners). He teaches young children basic computer and digital skills.

Dennis is more than just a student. He’s a role model, a mentor, and a sign of what’s possible when someone is given a chance and works hard for their future.

Would you like to help us support more young people like Dennis?
Together, we can build a future full of hope.
