Expenditure Report – Sokoni Vocational Training Centre, Kilifi (October 2025)

In October 2025, our organization provided financial support to the Sokoni Vocational Training Centre in Kilifi for the purchase of learning materials and tools for three technical departments: MasonryPlumbing, and Electrical.

The total contribution received was KSh 270,000, of which KSh 265,921 was spent on tools and transportation costs. A small balance of KSh 4,079 remains, which, along with an additional contribution of KSh 300,000 from LF, brings the current balance to KSh 34,079. This amount will be used for project monitoring & evaluation (M&E) and the purchase of some forgotten loose tools.

Overview of Key Expenditures:

  • Masonry: KSh 87,380 for tools

  • Electrical: KSh 104,380 for tools

  • Plumbing: KSh 67,950 for tools

  • Transportation costs: KSh 2,554 for delivery of materials and other logistical expenses

  • Jua Kali (local workshop): KSh 3,657 for metal storage boxes

  • General store: KSh 613 for padlocks

The total expenditure on materials and logistics amounted to KSh 265,921.

Purpose of the Investment

This investment allows the Sokoni Vocational Training Centre to provide better practical training for students in masonry, plumbing, and electrical fields. The new tools will not only enhance the quality of lessons but also help improve the self-sufficiency of young people in Kilifi, better preparing them for employment or entrepreneurship.
