What a great project this was again. Thanks to Afas Foundation, we were able to give 1,500 students a new uniform this year! To be honest, there were even more. Our organization in Kenya negotiated well and ultimately we were able to distribute no fewer than 1,686 uniforms.
The impact of this project is enormous. All children from no fewer than three schools in the Kilifi region feel equal to each other, regardless of their origin. Seamstresses who were trained last year have been able to earn their own salary this year. Parents have been helped enormously with this in-kind gift. The collaboration with Upendo was once again very nice.
And how happy the schools and teachers were! It was a big party.
