The 2024 - 2028 Outline Agreement of the Dutch political parties that want to form the new government announces that the tax rules for donations will become stricter in the coming years. If you plan to make a (large) donation to Learn! Foundation soon, it is probably wise to do so in 2024 anyway.
There are no specific bills yet, but the parties want to limit tax benefits for donations in the coming years. This applies to the deduction of donations from income tax (donations you make as a private individual) and from corporate tax (donations from a private limited company).
You understand that this puts pressure on the large charities, but certainly also on private initiatives (PI's) such as Learn! Foundation, quite a step up. Because if the tax benefits decrease, we will have to work even harder to obtain donations and convince potential donors of the necessity of our work.
